So like most Babies Alfie’s first word or sound is DA, DA, DAD….. he sounds totally adorable and is so very pleased with himself! He has associated the sound he is making with Daddy and goes into full swing when Daddy enters the room.
We clapped and cheered when he first started saying it but now in my head I say enough….where’s my MAMMA???
Tonight I have said Mumma to Him at least 100 times and he just gives me a ‘whatever mummy’ look and continues his Daddy worshiping,
Now don’t get me wrong Daddy is a wonderful man I know this as I married him and I am totally proud of my little man and love hearing Him chatting away,
I am also fully aware that He is probably unable to make the sound I want him to say but still … Wheres ‘MAMMA’
Here’s what I have tried….
1. ‘Alfie say MA MA MA MA MA MA MA MA MA MA MA MA MA MA MA MA MA MA MA MA MA………………….’
2. singing MAMA to the tune of ‘twinke twinkle’……. with my voice no wonder he ignores me!
3. refer to number 2
4. refer to number 2
and still ‘DADADADADAD’
We carry them for nine whole months, bring them into the world, cuddle, change, cradle, sing, feed , turn into nervous wrecks when they have the slightest sniffle….. and our little bundles of joy’s first word is DA DA!!!
Got to be something wrong there!
The balloons and banners are going up as soon as I hear that beautiful sound!!!
